Thunder is a minimal sabino with a star, white into one front knee and three shorter socks on his other legs. He is likely to mature about 14.2 hands. He is out of Midnite April, a black mare with 4 socks and a blaze to her lower lip with disconnected white on her chin, and by the homozygous black AK Sabino stallion, Kumars Night Legacy. April is sired by a black son of The Boogeyman, an incredible black Sabino stallion who was a son of Blacklord Arabi! She is out of a black mare whose lines go back to such greats as *Bask, *Serafix, and Diamond Drift! Rosco's sire, Legacy, goes back to Ansata AbbasPasha through a Straight Egyptian sire line and *Rasheek, *Fadl, and *Turfa through his dam.

Thunder had what is called a "red bag" birth and because of this has had some minor soundness issues. Thunder is now extremely healthy but still seems to have some minor hitch in his "git-along" in the hind end once in a while. The vet that was consulted feels that he may develop arthritis, but should still be fine for light riding.
