Shazmara is a straight Egyptian mare with an old pedigree close up! She is a tall (~15.2 hand) chestnut sabino mare with a flaxen mane & tail, one sock, an apron blaze, a small disconnected white spot on one leg and a small belly spot. Her head is incredibly dished with big, soft eyes, and her conformation still shows her quality, even at her advanced years! She has produced several sabino foals in the past, and we hope to get one more filly from her for our program, but this will be her last foal before she is retired from our breeding program. Shaz is an absolutely wonderful riding horse as well, but has 2 quirks - you never tie her solid as she will set back and fight the rope, and you can't put a bit in her mouth as she has clearly been tied with one in her mouth at some time in the past. Since she is easy to ride in a halter and lead or side-pull, none of this is really an issue. She is very much loved and cherished as a grand old mare ought to be.
