Sailor is a very impressive young stallion with moderate sabino markings that include a wide, wrap-around blaze, extensive spotting on his jaw and upper neck, a distinct white patch by his withers, 4 high stockings, and extensive belly white. In addition to his great markings, he has a GORGEOUS head with large dark eyes, short head, and a tapered muzzle. His conformation is very correct with a short back, nice hip, long straight legs and a laid back shoulder. His motion is relaxed and he will most likely be a western horse when he matures. His sire, HAAP Ibn Farrago, has an impressive record of producing well-marked sabino foals out of minimally marked mares and Sailor should carry on the legacy quite well! His dam, El Bey Shiraz, is very tall and elegant, and we expect Sailor to mature fairly tall (about 15+ hands), with her wonderfully typey head and Max's strength and flash. Sailor will be wonderful for siring QUALITY black and bay sabino foals as he has tested to be HOMOZYGOUS for BLACK and single agouti by UC Davis VGL! This means that he will never produce a chestnut.

Sailor will available to a limited number of approved mares as he will be used extensively on our own mares. All mares to be bred to Sailor MUST BE APPROVED. Breedings may be purchased at the current stud fee and may be used for the breeding season that they are purchased for, or the following year. We have ONE breeding for 2009 and TWO breedings left available for 2010 to Sailor.
