- Ee = heterozygous for black pigment
- ee = homozygous for red pigment (chestnut)
- AA = homozygous agouti, cannot produce black
- Aa = heterozygous agouti, can produce black
- aa = non-agouti, is black or can produce black
At this point in time, we will have at least 6-8 guaranteed black foals, 1 guaranteed bay, and 2-3 foals that have a 50/50 chance of being either black or bay (with one of those that could go grey).
