1993 Black Mare



April is a wonderful black sabino mare with 4 socks and a blaze to her lower lip, plus disconnected white on her chin and white spots on her head and neck, making her a great candidate for producing Sabinos. April is sired by Rebel Midnite Sun, the ONLY black son of The Boogeyman, an incredible black Sabino stallion who was a son of Blacklord Arabi and out of the black Sabino mare, Easter Magic! The Boogeyman had only 5 registered foals before he suffered an untimely death, and only one of his foals was BLACK! Her sire has produced at least one other definitive sabino, JORDAN BLAZINGSUN, as well as others with white markings that could qualify as sabino! She is out of the black mare, KOS Blissful, whose lines go back to such greats as *Bask, *Serafix, and Diamond Drift! Although she looks almost bay in some of the photos, April's genetic profile is Ee aa (tested by UCDavis) and she IS a true black.
