Camera Locations: We have outside cameras to watch the expectant mares in nice weather, but they will be inside in inclement weather. If the mares (that are due soon) are not in the stalls, we most likely have them outside for some excercise, or just in another stall briefly while their regular stall is being cleaned.

Our farm preference: Please call if you see the foal coming out, or the mare is down and PUSHING with all 4 legs extended (and awake), and no one is in the barn with her. We will not alway go into the stall unless needed. There is always someone nearby, but we might not always be able to reach the phone.

Camera interference: The cameras sometimes have some interference as they are wireless cams inside a metal barn. If there is extensive interference, just be patient and it will usually go away soon. Both the cordless telephone and the microwave mess up the cameras, but they aren't used for long periods at once, so should clear up quickly.If you need help with determining how many days along your mare is, visit our Foaling Calculator.

March 2010 Black Foal (Saba Mashaali x WS Night Silk)
322 days on March 9Silk has just had one foal so far, and that was a colt born at 324 days, which IF Silk follows suit, would put her due on March 10 this year. Silk gave us NO WARNING at all last year as a maiden, and is very comfortable in her stall, so most likely will be on cam from about 320 days forward. Silk now has a moderately sized bag, and may still foal a little earlier than her 340 day "due" date.
April 2010 Black or Bay Sabino Foal (Legally Intoxicating x Darq Mokatahr)
310 days on March 9Moka is a daughter of our mare Misti, and sired by Tahrson, an *El Mokhtar grandson (*El Mokhtar was the stallion used in the movie The Black Stallion Returns). She is a tall, sweet-natured girl with a very pretty head! She is confirmed in foal to Sailor for a guaranteed homozygous black or bay sabino foal. Moka is just barely starting to bag now, but we will be keeping a very close eye on her as she is a maiden mare. Moka is owned by Kelly Schroeder.
