2008 Foal-Watch

Foal-Cams hosted through MareStare.com!

Camera Locations: We have outside cameras to watch the expectant mares in nice weather, but they will be inside in inclement weather. If the mares are not in the stalls, we most likely have them outside for some excercise, or just in another stall briefly while their regular stall is being cleaned.

Stall One or Outside Pen - on Cam 1

Stall Two or Outside Pen - on Cam 2

Our farm preference: Please call if you see the foal coming out, or the mare is down and PUSHING with all 4 legs extended (and awake), and no one is in the barn with her. We will not alway go into the stall unless needed. There is always someone nearby, but we might not always be able to reach the phone.

PLEASE visit the Message Board at MareStare and read about the mare that you are watching, either on our Elements farm board (scroll down) or on the Foaling Alerts & Updates page, BEFORE calling! DO NOT CALL unless you have read these and are AWARE of the mare's normal behavior please!!!

Emergency Numbers:
303-621-7774
303-396-8887

Camera interference: The cameras almost always have SOME interference as they are wireless cams inside a metal barn. If there is extensive interference, just be patient and it will usually go away soon. Both the cordless telephone and the microwave mess up the cameras, but they aren't used for long periods at once, so should clear up quickly.

If you need help with determining how many days along your mare is, visit our Foaling Calculator.

On cam right now: Cam #1 is off and April is on Cam #2
or the outside pens (check message board for more updated info)

July 4, 2008 Black Filly (Saba Mashaali x Midnite April)

This filly made her appearance just after the fireworks! She is a strong and healthy girl, despite being "cooked" for just 311 days! She has a blaze, upper and lower lip white, one sock, one partial coronet, and one heel spot.

July 29 or October 19, 2008 Foal (Saba Mashaali x HAAP Blue Lace)

Lace was bred for a late July foal, but then checked as open a month later. Despite this, she showed no further signs of cycling until early November. When she started to show an interest in the stallion, she was put into the pen with him, but he totally ignored her. When checked in foal in January, we assumed that she had been bred in November and was due in mid-October, however she is now starting to bag! The pregnancy might have been missed the first time and Lace might actually be due in July! Lacewill be brought in at night right once she starts b agging more, but left out on pasture during the days.
